Pennsauken Animal Hospital in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking an Overnight Urgent Care Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, life-saving team. You will monitor hospitalized patients and assist veterinarians during emergencies, delivering compassionate care for a wide range of cases.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of veterinary experience (urgent care or emergency preferred), strong teamwork, and the ability to multitask while maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary experience (urgent care or emergency preferred).
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Experience collecting lab samples and administering medications; taking medical histories and assisting in sedation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hospitalized patients and track vital signs.
• Calculate, prepare, and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Perform lab tests and patient care tasks as needed.
• Maintain detailed electronic medical records throughout shift.
• Communicate clearly with clients about patient status and home care.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and overnight team.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and infection-control standards.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and professionally.
