Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ is seeking credentialed Veterinary Technicians to join our busy Overnight ER team. If you enjoy a collaborative, fast-paced environment and building relationships with patients, clients, and staff, we want to hear from you.

You will work Thursday–Saturday, 6PM–8AM, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth. The role includes anesthesia support, critical care procedures, and direct client communication.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred, or a minimum of 2 years as a technician.
• Comprehensive understanding of and experience with anesthetic monitoring.
• Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and diagnostic tests.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general anesthesia and sedated procedures.
• Induction and maintenance of anesthesia; equipment setup.
• Instrument care, sterilization, and supply management for procedures.
• Set up CRIs and calculate medical dosages.
• Place IV catheters and initiate fluid therapy.
• Position patients for radiographs and supervise radiographic safety.
• Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Prepare and administer transfusions (blood/plasma) as needed.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and charts.
• Collect and process lab samples for diagnostic testing.
• Operate veterinary ventilators during anesthesia.
• Educate clients on home care and discharge instructions.
