BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians for Overnight shifts in our busy Emergency department in Kirkland, WA

LVT Pay: $25.60 - $49.15 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, with a minimum of 4 hours for differentials. Examples include:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital offers a dynamic environment for Veterinary Technicians to utilize and expand their skills, working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using appropriate equipment.
• Triages emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.

• Understand normal vital sign ranges and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarians to changes.
• Identify patients at risk of arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer medications via proper routes.
• Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.

• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train colleagues with patience and empathy.
