Overnight Veterinary Assistant

Location: Ottawa, ON

Ottawa Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time overnight Veterinary Assistant to join our emergency and urgent care team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians with patient care and treatments

• Providing compassionate care such as feeding and walking patients

• Maintaining hospital cleanliness and general upkeep

• Admitting and discharging pet patients

• Handling invoicing, billing, creating estimates, obtaining client confirmation, and processing payments

Requirements:

• Exceptional client service skills to build trust and loyalty

• Compassionate and nurturing attitude towards clients and patients

• Ability to stay calm and efficient under stress

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Flexibility to work shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

• Previous veterinary experience or graduation from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
