Destination Pet LLC is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for Town and Country Animal Hospital. This position supports veterinarians with nursing care, client and pet welcome, and medical record maintenance. You will handle lab work, prescriptions, and ensure clean, organized hospital operations.

The role requires 1+ year clinic experience, a high school diploma, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer full-time health benefits, a 401k plan, and discounted pet insurance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinic experience as a veterinary assistant.
• High school diploma required.
• Physical: ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Comfort with computer systems and multi-line phone.
• Comfort working with animals and restraining them.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians to provide nursing care.
• Welcome and comfort clients and pets.
• Clean, maintain and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Fill prescriptions as directed and explain directions.
• Support reception with check-in/check-out and phone support.
• Perform laboratory tests.
• Keep facilities clean and well maintained.
