Job summary

Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Partner, is seeking a Part-time Overnight Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Woodstock, MD. Schedule: Tuesday Overnight, 6pm-7am. Pay ranges from $20.30 to $28.50 per hour, based on experience and competency advancement.

We offer shift differentials for eligible nights and weekends. The role involves nursing care, patient evaluation, signalment reporting, routine lab work, medication administration, veterinary client communication, and maintaining

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Assist with patient evaluation and examination.
• Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.
• Run routine lab work.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Understand classification of commonly used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
• Exercise patients.
• Clean kennels and ensure overall cleanliness of the hospital.
• Provide client education and communication.
