Job summary

Prosegur is hiring an Overnight Unarmed Security Officer for a full-time overnight shift in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment, professional client interactions, and reporting. You will lead a security team at the assigned site and use access control technology as required.

This position requires a CA Security Guard Card, strong written and verbal English, and leadership experience. The schedule is Wednesday-Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with a $27.00 hourly pay rate.

Qualifications

• CA Security Guard Card required.
• Minimum 1 year security leadership experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to participate in screening including drug screen and background.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public professionally.
• Be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, plus effective written and oral communication.
• Prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Manage security services and related operations including post orders, staffing, scheduling, payroll, supervision and training.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of security officers and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Utilize access control technology at client sites.
• Handle emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure safety and security.
• Required to read and understand all procedures.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Manage security services and related operations including preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, payroll, supervision and training at an assigned site.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of security officers, ensuring effective performance and adherence to protocols.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
• Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1-2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

• 18+ years of age
• CA Security Guard Card
• Minimum 1 year security leadership experience required.
