Job summary

Northwell Health in Manhattan seeks an Assistant Medical Director for the overnight Emergency Telepsychiatry Program. This full-time leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 Telehealth Hub, delivering virtual emergency psychiatry consultations to EDs.

Shifts run 8:30p-8:30a, about ten shifts per month; the position includes 20% administrative/academic time and expects BC/BE psychiatrists licensed in NYS with CPEP/Emergency Psychiatry experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years CPEP/Emergency Psychiatry experience required.
• Must be BC/BE and licensed in NYS.
• Superior computer and EHR skills.
• Must be able to assess patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Lead an overnight multidisciplinary team of physicians, social workers, and logisticians at a 24/7 Telehealth Hub.
• Provide virtual Emergency Psychiatry consults to Emergency Departments.
• Maintain an optimized office environment in Manhattan.
• 20% administrative/academic time included.
