  • Schedule: Open to working weekends

Job Summary

This non-exempt overnight position in the Care Department reports to the Care Manager/Medication Manager. It involves supervising residents, ensuring safety, and acting as the first point of contact during the overnight shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide care and supervision tailored to each resident.
  • Participate in emergency procedures and drills.
  • Interact with emergency personnel and provide necessary information.
  • Stay on premises and respond within 10 minutes if needed.
  • Dispense medications following protocols.
  • Complete required training, including Care, Dementia, and Medication Management.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Follow care plans and document care provided.
  • Manage resident and family concerns.
  • Ensure incident reports are completed.
  • Conduct community walks and manage shift reports.
  • Handle staff call-offs and shortages appropriately.
Safety and Work Environment
  • Report accidents, injuries, and safety violations.
  • Meet training requirements within 30 days.
  • Follow safety precautions related to contagious diseases.
  • Work with patience around senior residents, with physical demands including walking, standing, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with residents, families, and staff.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; must be at least 21 years old.
  • First aid trained and certified.
  • Clearance for DOJ and FBI background checks.
  • Recent health screening and TB test.
