Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to join our team and help keep our Fresh departments welcoming and well‑run. You’ll build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are full, fresh, and visually appealing.

You’ll stock, rotate, and merchandise products, use store technology, and follow food safety and quality procedures. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required; physical activity is part of the role.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
