Job summary

Meijer is hiring for a Food Clerk who will help keep shelves stocked, safe, and visually appealing in our Fresh departments. You will engage with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure fast, friendly service in a busy store environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to use store technology to complete tasks efficiently. No prior retail experience required, but helpful for a smoother start.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:
