Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Overnight Stocking Supervisor in Grand Chute, WI to lead a high-performing team and keep the store ready for customers daily. You will staff, coach and develop team members, implement strategies to improve customer service and drive sales while ensuring standards are met.

Responsibilities include P&L ownership, scheduling, mentoring staff, and ensuring safety and training across departments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of related retail experience.
  • One year of management experience.
  • Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
  • Clear and precise direction to team members and effective communication.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use it for decisions; ability to teach suggestive selling.
  • Ability to lead an organization that works safely at all times.
  • Ability to mentor SDITs, hourly team members and team leaders.
  • Successful completion of all required certifications.

  • Promote succession planning by identifying development needs and involvement in promotion decisions.
  • Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
  • Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
  • Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
  • Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations.
  • Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
  • Ensure the team is trained in all aspects of their jobs and completed required training.
  • Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
  • Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.

Current/Past leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, fulfillment (Amazon/FedEx), or backroom inventory a working overnight a plus

Our Overnight Stocking Supervisor will plans, direct and supervise team members in the day to day operations within various departments of the store. Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members. Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient. Maintain store appearance with a focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Promotes a safe work environment.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
