Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Grand Chute, WI is hiring an Overnight Stocking Supervisor to lead a high-performing team ensuring store readiness for customers.

Previous leadership in warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, or backroom inventory is a plus; you will direct daily operations, coach staff, and drive service, sales, and compliance with company standards.

Strong leadership, planning, and coaching skills are required to maintain service quality and store performance during overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas such as meat, bakery, produce, deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make decisions, plus ability to teach suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day operations within store departments.
• Mentor and coach the team members.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Ensure positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development for team members, including promotions decisions.
• Discipline actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Mentor and coach the team to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is trained in all job aspects and completed required training.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in the day to day operations within various departments of the store.
• Serve as the mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient.
• Maintain store appearance with a focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by providing career paths, identifying development needs for the team members, and being involved with and accountable for promotion decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor and coach the team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded and the area is maintained to Meijer standards.
• Ensure the team is thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and has completed all required training.
• Spend majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service is being delivered.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
