Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to drive onboarding, training and staff development while overseeing operations and budget performance.

You will lead candid discussions with team members, uphold safety standards, and guide a diverse merchandising strategy to meet community needs and grow sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.
• Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and gain market share.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching.
• Identifies talent and leads in career discussions for staffing and leadership roles.
• Ensures team members grow within the organization and Meijer standards are upheld.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, managing budget line items in the P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance and ensures proper store condition management.
• Guides and assigns daily work and training for team members and leaders.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Engages with team members in span of care to ensure they are receiving appropriate onboarding, training and development, and coaching and feedback to be successful in all they do.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support overall store staffing and ensure a diversified talent pipeline strategy for team member as well as leadership roles.
• Involvement in candid discussions with team members to ensure Meijer standards are upheld and team members have the ability to grow within the organization.
• Accountability for area operations and financial results by overseeing the execution of corporate plans to ensure all services and products are effectively managed in order to maximize sales and productivity ultimately owning budget line items in the P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance throughout the store in addition to overall condition management as well as responsibility for following all compliance procedures in the store.
• Ensures the Team Leaders and Leads are providing guidance and assigning daily work assignments for team members as well as any training needs.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is listed below. $48,250.00 - $75,750.00 This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Your specific pay rate within this range will be based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team you’ll be joining. Compensation for this position also includes incentive bonus opportunities that may vary based on individual and company performance. Specific details will be discussed during the hiring process.
