Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to join our Fresh departments. This role is central to creating a fresh, welcoming store experience, including maintaining displays, assisting customers, and collaborating with teammates across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.

You’ll be active on the floor, using product knowledge to help customers, and following food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality. Prior retail or food service experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
