Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are fully stocked and ready for customers. You’ll perform multiple retail tasks, deliver friendly customer service, and support merchandising efforts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient store operations. Overnight shifts may be required, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Ability to follow processes in an organized, efficient way.
• Keeps calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoys being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
