Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. You will move items from pallets to proper locations, assist with backstock, and help maintain a clean store. The role supports daily store operations and requires teamwork and reliability.

Typical duties include stocking, backroom disposal, and assisting leadership to ensure areas are finished on time. Obvious in-store service and safety awareness are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with focus on shared goals.
• Able to remain calm and productive under pressure.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and groceries.
• Move product from pallets/carts to correct shelf locations efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete assigned areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
