Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to support Fresh departments and deliver a welcoming store experience. You will build connections with customers, help them find products, and maintain attractive displays while rotating stock and using store technology to complete tasks.

This role emphasizes food safety, teamwork across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, and staying active in a fast-paced environment. Weekly pay and career growth programs are available.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

Build positive connections with customers and teammates

Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
