Position Objective

To assist customers in their shopping experience by properly stocking shelves and displays in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Night Manager.

Status

This is a non-exempt position.

Knowledge

Essential Knowledge: Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.

Non-Essential Knowledge: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Skills & Job Functions

• Implement Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Unload and sort incoming shipments, stock merchandise neatly without damage.
• Maintain neat back room and cooler/freezer areas.
• Stock shelves by matching UPCs and using face front display method.
• Support inventory processes accurately.
• Monitor and remove damaged or unsaleable products following proper procedures.
• Operate, clean, and maintain equipment safely.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Ensure proper rotation of products and monitor expiration dates.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Use basic math and reading skills effectively.

Physical Abilities

Essential Abilities: Reach overhead up to 84 inches, twist, lift up to 10 lbs, push/pull carts up to 75 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, bend/squat, work in cold conditions.

Non-Essential Abilities: Climbing ladders up to 15 ft.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or better.
• Experience: 1 year in food rotation preferred.
