Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking an Overnight Stocker to join our Grocery team on the overnight shift. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product, and help keep backrooms organized to ensure fresh, accessible aisles for customers every morning.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with up to six months of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along feedback or requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly.
• Organize stock for greatest efficiency and restock any damaged items.
• Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input.
• Work alongside teammates to ensure a smooth overnight operation.
• Maintain compliance with dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
