Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is hiring an Overnight Stock Manager for our Savage, MN store. You will lead the overnight stock crew, supervise orders, and ensure shelves are stocked and ready for morning shoppers.

Responsibilities include coordinating warehouse orders and pre-orders, managing inventory via the C.A.R.S. system, unloading trucks, training staff, and maintaining store standards. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the overnight stock crew and managers.
• Oversee ordering from warehouse including pre-orders and coordinate with assistants.
• Coordinate the C.A.R.S. system for inventory setup, understock and backstock management.
• Unload trucks, break down pallets, and check in vendor deliveries.
• Train new employees on stocking, tagging, UPCs, and customer service; train supervisors on register handling.
• Write the overnight stock schedule and manage time-off requests, overtime, and sick calls.
• Maintain store standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and dress code.

You may encounter occasional exposure to noise, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, and cleaning chemicals or solvents, with frequent exposure to dirt. The role involves working with and around heavy store equipment including forklifts, power jacks, and compactors.
