Job summary

Hannaford in Manchester, NH is seeking a Third Shift Center Store Assistant to support the Stock Crew Manager in meeting financial and sales goals while building strong associate and customer relations. You will help hire/train staff, stock products, maintain pricing and inventory, and ensure safety and confidentiality across the department.

You will also assist with scheduling, productivity, and adherence to standards, while fostering teamwork and delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct department associates.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn forklift and power jack operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Able to work overnight or early morning shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training and developing associates.
• Assist maintaining staffing, scheduling, and financial results.
• Cut, mark and stock product, as required.
• Use good judgment in the assignment, delegation and follow-up for the department.
• Treat all associates with fairness, dignity and respect; provide recognition and constructive feedback.
