Job summary

Meijer in Oregon seeks a Food Clerk to help create a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will stock and rotate items, build engaging displays, and assist customers with product knowledge, while staying active in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates enjoy helping customers, can learn store technology, and are comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods. Retail experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates


• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need


• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
  
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards


• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately


• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures


• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery


• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
