Position: Steward or Dishwasher

This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills and the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights. This is a fast-paced position involving constant customer interaction.

Key Duties include:

• Ensuring the kitchen is clean, well-maintained, and organized.
• Keeping floors dry and clean at all times.
• Operating pot-washing machinery and maintaining a hygienic environment following hygiene regulations and company standards.
• Adhering to all sanitation guidelines.
• Collecting and removing trash following established procedures and recycling guidelines.
• Maintaining cleanliness of waste bin areas.
• Performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and rubbish disposal.
• Cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
• Maintaining floors and walls in the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Cleaning and sanitizing dishes and service ware.
• Cleaning large equipment as assigned.
• Following SDS information related to chemical safety.
• Operating industrial dishwashers proficiently.
• Ensuring equipment is clean and operational.
• Checking chemical levels and managing inventory.
• Washing, wiping, sorting, stacking, and storing dishes and utensils.
• Handling breakages and updating inventory registers.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and closing workstations.
• Performing dishwashing operations safely and according to health and safety procedures.
• Managing stock materials and inventory.
• Assisting with cleaning and maintenance tasks across the restaurant, bar, and kitchen areas.
• Transporting linen and assisting with stock management.
