Role Overview

Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and managing the pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, including coaching and providing feedback to the pharmacy team.
3. Serve as the primary pharmacist during shifts, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
4. Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance or medication issues.
5. Proactively deliver immunizations and support pharmacy technicians in immunization practices.
6. Manage pharmacy inventory effectively, with a focus on cold chain products.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies.
8. Support clinical services such as testing and prescribing where permitted.
9. Maintain professional skills and seek opportunities for continuous learning.
10. Support a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
