Job summary

Wesley Willows in Rockford, IL is seeking a vigilant Overnight Security professional to join our campus. This full-time role covers the 10:00 pm–6:30 am shift and focuses on monitoring alarms, resident safety, and emergency response.

You will conduct routine checks, patrol facilities, and assist with maintaining secure building operations. Compensation is $17.00 per hour with a $2 shift differential; weekends required (Wednesday-Sunday).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of general building maintenance experience.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
• Good mobility to perform security checks across buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to all building and campus alarm systems, including resident medical emergencies.
• Conduct temperature checks in boiler rooms and kitchens to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
• Remove resident trash from hallways and empty garbage, recycling, and soiled linen bins each shift.
• Patrol the campus, noting open garage doors, unlit post lights, and suspicious individuals or vehicles. Take appropriate action, including questioning individuals or contacting law enforcement.
• Support resident relations by addressing concerns promptly, maintaining communication with the Facilities Supervisor, and completing assigned special projects.
• Completes maintenance work orders and other maintenance tasks as requested.
