Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time overnight/Corporate Patrol in New York, NY. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service.

Duties include reporting security concerns, responding to incidents, and maintaining logs. Minimum requirements include a NYS Security Guard License, high school diploma, and successful background check with a post-employment drug screen as applicable.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior, exterior, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify issues and report concerns.
• Monitor access and verify visitor/contractor authorization; report unauthorized entries.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally; contact emergency services as required.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols and incidents.
