Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in New York for full-time overnight shifts at government facilities. You’ll join a dynamic team delivering security services that protect people and property while serving the community.

Responsibilities include customer service to clients and staff, unarmed patrols, monitoring access, incident response, and timely incident reporting. Qualifications: NY Security Guard License, 1 year security experience, HS diploma, background check, and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government facilities, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs for security-related events, observations, and interactions.
