Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to protect hotel guests and property. You will patrol designated areas, respond to disturbances, and prepare clear incident reports for management.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent; security experience is desirable and CPR/First Aid is preferred. Stay compliant with safety guidelines and contribute to guest satisfaction while supporting security operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (or experience in hotel/related field).
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergency situations.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate with hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports clearly.
• Escort guests to rooms or assist entry per standards.
• Aim to increase guest satisfaction scores.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits and use MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Perform protective and enforcement functions in a friendly and courteous manner to maintain a safe and secure hotel environment.

Your Focus

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergency situations.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and other reports and communicate all related information to hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest’s w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
