Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Security staff member to support the residential program. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, respectful environment during night hours and ensuring proper access control.

Candidates should have security experience, be able to document incidents clearly, and be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. First Aid certification including Narcan is required or obtainable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Security experience preferred.
• Must be able to write log entries and incident reports.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must align with The Salvation Army’s Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.
• Must be certified in basic First Aid including Narcan administration or obtain certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.
• Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.
• Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.
• Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.
• Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Duties

The Security position will assist with night security for the residential program to provide a caring, respectful, and safe atmosphere for those seeking life transformation through the ARC program.

Responsibilities include

• Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.
• Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.
• Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.
• Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.
• Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
