Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Security staff member to support the residential program, particularly during night shifts, to ensure a safe, caring environment for residents seeking life transformation through the ARC program.

Responsibilities include checking identifications, controlling access, conducting rounds, monitoring alarms/video, and coordinating with emergency services as needed in adherence to the organization’s Christian rehabilitation approach.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Security experience preferred.
• Must be able to write log entries and incident reports as needed.
• Must be in agreement with The Salvation Army’s Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.
• Must be certified in basic First Aid including Narcan administration or become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.
• Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.
• Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.
• Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.
• Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
