Job summary

Seneca Federal Solutions, a Seneca Nation Group company, seeks a Security Clerk to support around-the-clock security for a government customer in Silver Spring, MD. Shifts include Thursday-Friday 10 pm–6:30 am and Saturday-Sunday 6:30 pm–6:30 am, with duties at the staff duty desk and visitor control.

The role requires US citizenship, a SECRET clearance or ability to clear, fluent English, and physical ability to patrol, lift up to 50 pounds, and complete precise daily logs and reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• US Citizen required.
• Secret clearance (or be clearable) required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to write clear, accurate reports and complete daily shift logs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds and walk moderate distances for patrols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and monitoring policies, instructions, procedures and control systems.
• Support security personnel with desk operations and visitor badge issuance.
• Assist with physical security surveys and inspections.
• Monitor IDS to deter theft or damage to facilities.
• Monitor two CCTV systems.
• Dispatch emergency services on alarms requiring action.
• Prepare incoming/outgoing Visit Authorization Requests (VARs).
• Maintain security records, binders, and reports.
• Assist with security for conferences.
• Generate reports for alarmed facilities.
• Provide security updates to shift supervisor and government management.
• Monitor virtual overwatch alarm system.
• Act as alternate fire warden.
