Job summary

Au Bon Pain is seeking an Overnight Sandwich and Salad Maker to join our café team in a high-energy, guest-focused environment. You will prepare sandwiches, salads, and coffee drinks while maintaining a clean, fast, and friendly café.

This role requires multitasking across FOH duties, talking with guests, taking orders, and delivering quality products late at night. Responsibilities include line expediting, training new teammates, and ensuring sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

• Excellent communication and listening skills; read, write, and speak English.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions.

• Able to move around the café to assist guests.
• Able to move, lift and handle equipment up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute guests' orders for sandwiches and salads.
• Prepare coffee specialty drinks (Cappuccino, Lattes, Espresso, etc.).
• Ensure products meet ABP standards of freshness and appearance.
• Provide guest-first service by listening and resolving requests quickly.
• Assist management with expediting on the line.
• Be a team player to achieve efficient operations.
• Keep work area clean, organized and stocked.
• Make sure equipment and ovens are clean.
• Provide on-the-job training for new sandwich makers.
• Perform prep and utility duties as needed/backup.
• Assist in café setup, refilling and maintaining coffee/tea/oatmeal/soup areas.
• Deliver orders within the facility as needed.
• Other related responsibilities as assigned.

Our Sandwich and Salad Makers must be organized and able to multi task! They talk to our guests, take orders, and make sandwiches and salads, all while being friendly and fast!If you have a passion for making and serving delicious sandwiches and salads while working in a fast paced café, this may be the position for you.

Position Summary: The Sandwich/Salad Maker Position will be responsible for the execution of legendary, high quality food while ensuring a CLEAN, FAST and FRIENDLY café environment. The Sandwich/Salad position is crossed trained in all FOH positions with the ability to assist any guest’s expectations. Sandwich/Salad Maker Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute guests orders and requests for sandwiches and salads

• Resolve any problems and keeps management informed about issues and problems as they arise.

• Assist in café set up, refill and maintain additional areas; coffee/tea/oatmeal and soup as needed.
• Delivering orders within the facility as needed.
• Other related responsibilities as assigned.
