Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) to join the Sleep Lab at the San Diego VA Healthcare System on-site in San Diego, CA. The role involves overnight work, diagnostic PSG, titration, MSLT/MWT procedures, and PAP titration to ensure high-quality sleep studies.

Qualified candidates will hold BRPT RPSGT certification, CA Respiratory Therapist license, BLS, and at least two years in-lab PSG with scoring experience.

Qualifications

• Active / Unrestricted Sleep Technologist license (if required by state).
• Two years of in-lab PSG, titration studies, HSSAT and scoring experience.
• BRPT RPSGT certification.
• California Respiratory Therapist license.
• BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, split-night, and PAP titration polysomnographic studies.
• Score sleep studies including sleep stages, respiratory events, arousals, limb movements, and cardiac rhythm.
• Administer and titrate prescribed PAP therapies per established protocols.
• Prepare patients and apply electrodes, sensors, and respiratory monitors.
• Operate and quality-control polysomnographic monitoring systems.
• Document patient care and study information in EHR/sleep-lab systems.
