Job summary

Lenape Valley Foundation is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the Residential Services program in Levittown, PA. This part-time role supports adults with mental health challenges in a home-like setting, focusing on daily living skills, safety, and recovery activities.

The Saturday overnight shift is available, offering opportunities to engage residents in therapeutic activities, crises de-escalation, and compassionate care within a small, home-like Forsythia House environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Educational background in psychology, social work, or related fields preferred.
• Experience in mental health, healthcare or caregiving (personal or professional) strongly preferred.
• Team player mentality.
• Ability to adapt and stay calm in unpredictable situations.
• Motivated by purpose and desire to work in a mission driven environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (with or without accommodation).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to residents in their daily routines, including hygiene, meals, and medication management.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Engage residents in recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Document resident interactions and progress using electronic health records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed practices.
