Job summary

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is seeking an Overnight Residential Counselor - Per-Diem in Arlington, MA. This role requires direct supervision of youth/residents overnight and active participation in their daily routines and activities from 10:30pm to 8:30am or 11:30pm to 9:30am.

No college degree is required; training will cover Motivational Interviewing, Courageous Conversations, ARC, Trauma Informed Practice, CPR and First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for all youth/residents through collaborative team work.
• Show yourself to be a willing learner in trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitating recreational activities for clients, working with the staff team to ensure the program structure while providing positive role modeling for youth.
• Safe client transportation and medication administration if MAP certified.
• Assist the program in providing basic needs for clients, such as regular meals, a safe and clean-living environment, recreational activities, and appropriate hygiene.

Salary: $20.50/hour

We are looking for coverage for the following shift:

• Intermittent shift coverage for employee PTO/sick time coverage
• Overnight shifts are 10:30pm-8:30am or 11:30pm-9:30am

What You Will Do:
