Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring a Reach Truck Operator for night shift roles in our distribution center. You will replenish empty bin locations, store inbound product in proper bins, and ensure items are ready for picking with accuracy and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, warehouse experience, and the ability to pass a forklift test. Expect physical work, pallet handling, and adherence to food safety and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience required.
• Must pass operational forklift test with 80% or better.
• Basic math and accurate pallet counts essential.
• Ability to work at elevated heights with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Put away all product according to inventory control guidelines.
• Cut the shrink wrap from pallets after placement.
• Wrap pallets to ensure stability and stack safely.
• Report damage and inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas.
• Replenish empty pick bins; perform other duties as assigned.

You will also be responsible to put away all inbound received product in the proper bin locations to ensure product is stocked and ready to be picked.Key Responsibilities:Put away all product according to inventory control guidelinesCut the shrink wrap from pallets after they are placed in the proper bin locationWrap pallets to ensure stability, check pallet conditions, and stack safely for transport to storagePromptly report damage and all inventory discrepanciesMaintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areasMaintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standardsReplenish empty pick binsOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plusWarehouse experience preferredReach truck experience requiredMust be able to pass operational fork truck test with 80% or betterHandle and prioritize requests from multiple sourcesBasic math skills to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbersAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidaysEnvironmental Job Conditions:Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionallySit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environmentGrasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basisWork safely up to 36 feet in the air in the rack system to fix dumped pallets on an occasional basisBuild pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 poundsEndurance for continuous, fast paced workFluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees FahrenheitAble to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
