Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Reach Truck Operator to replenish and store inbound stock at the Elkton, MD distribution center. You will move pallets, cut shrink wrap, and ensure accurate bin placement while adhering to safety and food handling standards.

The role requires reach truck experience, the ability to work at height, and flexible hours including nights and weekends. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience required.
• Must pass forklift/ reach truck test with 80% or better.
• Basic math skills for counts and pallet IDs.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at heights with PPE.
• Able to use headset system for directions.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Put away all product according to inventory control guidelines.
• Cut the shrink wrap from pallets after placement in proper bin location.
• Wrap pallets to ensure stability and safe transport to storage.
• Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas.
• Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and applicable standards.
• Replenish empty pick bins.
• Other duties as assigned.

You will also be responsible to put away all inbound received product in the proper bin locations to ensure product is stocked and ready to be picked.Key Responsibilities:* Put away all product according to inventory control guidelines* Cut the shrink wrap from pallets after they are placed in the proper bin location* Wrap pallets to ensure stability, check pallet conditions, and stack safely for transport to storage* Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies* Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas* Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards* Replenish empty pick bins* Other duties as assignedQualifications:* High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus* Warehouse experience preferred* Reach truck experience required* Must be able to pass operational fork truck test with 80% or better* Handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources* Basic math skills to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbers* Accuracy and attention to detail* Ability to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)* Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)* Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidaysEnvironmental Job Conditions:* Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally* Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment* Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis* Work safely up to 36 feet in the air in the rack system to fix dumped pallets on an occasional basis* Build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds* Endurance for continuous, fast paced work* Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit* Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)* Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)* Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
