Job summary

GardaWorld Security is seeking a Tactical Security Officer in Bakersfield, CA to patrol rail yards, facilities and surrounding property, deter theft and respond to incidents with a calm, decisive presence. You must hold a HS Diploma or GED, be 21+, have a valid CA driver’s license and a BSIS Guard Card with related trainings; 3+ years of vehicle patrol experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent document
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid CA driver’s license
• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and 32h BSIS trainings
• Minimum 3 years as a Vehicle Patrol Officer
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely for long periods
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to write clear, concise reports
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Physically fit to walk, stand, and drive for long periods
• Prior Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus
• First aid certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas using a company vehicle and monitor staging zones
• Conduct perimeter checks and monitor access points
• Inspect fences, gates, and railcars for tampering or suspicious activity
• Deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity
• Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement
• Write detailed incident reports and logs
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Monitor hazardous conditions and report them
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after use
• Collaborate with law enforcement during incidents
