Job summary

St. Peter's Health in Montana is seeking an Overnight Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging while adhering to ALARA principles and safety standards. You will verify patient status, select appropriate imaging, and ensure high-quality studies are transferred to PACS.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of radiology experience, a degree in Radiologic Technology, Montana licensure/ARRT registration, and a current BLS certification. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• One to three years' radiology experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Montana Radiology Technologist license and ARRT registration; temporary license eligible; ARRT within 5 months; BLS required.
• Demonstrated cognitive, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Confirm correct patient, exam, and pregnancy status before imaging.
• Operate radiologic equipment using ALARA principles to produce high-quality images.
• Safely prepare, explain, and monitor IV or oral contrast when required.
• Assess vitals and monitor for medication or contrast reactions.
• Review images, complete QA, and transfer studies to PACS.
• Explain procedures, risks, benefits, and post-exam instructions clearly.
• Work with technologists, nurses, and providers to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient experience.
