Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company in Phoenix is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician II to ensure quality and safety for dairy and other products. You will perform lab tests, interpret results, and collaborate with QA, production and warehouse to resolve issues.

Role requires overnight shifts, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and adherence to safety and GMP policies. Consistent attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, dairy science, food science, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years related experience or combination of education and experience.
• Must be available for overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Able to work around food allergens.

Responsibilities

• Use lab equipment and testing procedures to measure quality of products.
• Interpret results and report issues promptly.
• Coordinate with lab supervisor, production and warehouse to correct issues.
• Submit samples and documentation for co-pack vendors.
• Evaluate raw ingredients and packaging for quality.
• Deliver supplies and laboratory specimens to designated areas.
• Clean and sterilize lab area and equipment regularly.
• Calibrate lab and production equipment as needed.
• Maintain finished product reports from laboratory analysis.
• Coach associates on GMPs, sanitation and quality checks.
• Audit batching, processing and filler paperwork for non-conformances.
• Coordinate communication between manufacturing and QA teams.
• Use Petrifilm plates to test microbial activity.
• Conduct environmental testing for pathogens.
• Interpret Petrifilm results for product approval.
• Attend work consistently.
• Other duties may be assigned.
