Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Psychiatrist - Nocturnist for the NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx CPEP. Be the overnight lead, evaluate acutely ill patients, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art emergency psychiatry service.

The role requires NY license and board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry; compensation includes base salary and extensive ancillary benefits as outlined by PAGNY.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Experience or capability in nocturnist/ED psychiatry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary psychiatrist in charge during the overnight hours in our CPEP.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage acute psychiatric presentations.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Coordinate disposition planning with Social Workers, Physician Assistants, and other medical staff.
• Document incidents with other members of the treatment team.
• Support psychiatric emergencies and crisis intervention during the shift.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the medical emergency room.
• Deliver cutting-edge, evidence-based psychiatric care to CPEP patients.
