Sika Corporation in Lyndhurst, NJ, is seeking a production operator to run manufacturing and packaging lines on an 8- or 12-hour shift, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. You will feed materials, monitor processes, take samples for quality control, and prepare product for transportation.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 74 lbs, forklift operation, and solid reading/comprehension skills. Training includes safety rules, housekeeping, and occasional maintenance tasks.

Formación

• High School graduate; electronics-related trade certification a plus.
• Able to read, write and comprehend English documents.
• Able to lift up to 74 lbs repeatedly during shift.
• Able to understand, analyze and resolve technical problems in the work area.
• Able to work on opening shift schedules.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Pass a Sika proficiency test testing reading comprehension and math ability.

Responsabilidades

• Operate manual or semiautomatic systems that process chemical substances into products.
• Load solid and liquid materials into heating/cooling vessels or blending tanks; set controls to start automatic feed.
• Observe chemical reactions; monitor gauges and recorders; adjust operations as directed by QC or supervisor.
• Draw samples of products for quality control analysis.
• With a forklift, package, palletize, shrink-wrap and stage product for transport to warehouses.
• Perform other duties and assist with special projects as needed.
• Maintain plant safety and adherence to safety rules.
• Keep workstations and manufacturing areas clean and well maintained.
