Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to ensure a fresh, welcoming store experience across Fresh departments. You will build connections with customers, help them find products, and maintain attractive displays while stocking and merchandising items.

This role requires weekends and holidays with an overnight (3rd shift) schedule. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required; physical activity is expected in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and wellrun store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
