Job summary

Raffles Boston, part of the Accor portfolio, is seeking a Private Dining Server to deliver the highest quality service to guests in a luxury hotel setting.

The role requires attentive, courteous, and efficient service, strong English proficiency, and prior food and beverage experience at a luxury property. You will set up and deliver orders, assist with opening/closing duties, and maintain equipment and standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• 2 years food and beverage serving and/or related experience at a luxury hotel or restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Set up and deliver guests orders and requests.
• Work in a tidy and organized manner.
• Some instances may require cash handling.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties per station rotation and checklist.
• Maintain PrivateDining equipment in good condition.
• Follow PrivateDining steps of service.
• Breakdown PrivateDining tables and linen in the dish room as per standards.
• Know fire extinguisher locations and how to use them.
• Submit daily requisitions for items needed for operation.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

The Private Dining Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. They are also responsible for setting up and delivering guests orders and requests.

• Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Work in a tidy and organized manner.
• Some instances may require cash handling.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist.
• Ensure that all PrivateDining equipment is well maintained.
• Service guests to the standard PrivateDining steps of service.
• Breakdown PrivateDining tables and linen in the dish room according to established standards.
• Be familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them.
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and while offering a distinctive dining experience.
• Submit daily requisitions of items needed for the operation.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• 2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience at a luxury hotel or restaurant.

Physical Requirements:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Must be able to maneuver and travel with an PrivateDining table or service tray.
