Job summary

HOODZ of Central Texas is seeking Cleaning Technicians to service commercial kitchen exhaust systems in the Austin area. Training provided; you will learn safety plans and procedures and work nights when restaurants are closed to support work-life balance.

You will perform power washing, scraping hoods, ducts and fans, set up and break down sites, and complete projects independently with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history.
• Able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• Dependable, punctual, able to read safety plans and procedures.
• Physically fit: climb ladders, lift 50 lbs, up to 100 ft.
• Detail-oriented and able to work fast and efficiently.
• Able to work flexible hours, including night shifts.
• Can complete projects start-to-finish with limited supervision.
• Good communication with customers and team members.
• Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Company participates in e-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Power washing and scraping of kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, duct work, filters and exhaust fans.
• Set up and take down of all job sites and equipment, including wiping stainless steel hoods and using vacuums and high pressure hoses.
• Independent completion of work projects without supervision.
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical deficiencies.

Skills / Requirements

Technician must:

• Have a valid Driver's License and at least 3 years of driving history. DPS record will be requested upon hire.
• Be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
• Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and understand safety plans and procedures.
• Be physically fit; able to climb ladders to gain rooftop access to commercial establishments, able to lift and carry 50 lbs., a minimum of 100 feet.
• Have excellent attention to detail and work fast and efficiently.
• Be able to work flexible hours (night shift).
• Be able to complete work projects from start to finish, with limited supervision.
• Have good communication skills; able to communicate well with customers and provide direction to other team members
• Have the desire to learn quicky and be able to work in a fast paced work environment with a growing company
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required
