Hilltop Commons Senior Living is looking for a Porter to join our team. This position is part-time. Scheduled hours are Saturdays 5 PM to 8:30 AM (overnight).

Job Summary:

Works closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team to ensure the Community is clean, well-kept, and in accordance with RSI standards. The Porter is responsible for keeping the building secure and is the first point of contact for all emergencies.

Job Duties:

• Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
• Main point of contact for all after-hours phone calls.
• Ensures that the building grounds are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances, and patio furniture.
• Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming, and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
• Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entryways are secure.
• Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.
