Fur de Lis Pet Care, LLC is seeking Overnight Pet Sitters to provide attentive, in-home care for dogs, cats and small pets in the Northshore area while owners are away. You will follow each client’s care instructions, provide companionship, and ensure safety during overnight and live-in assignments in clients’ homes.

We offer two assignment types: Overnight Stays (9 PM–7 AM) and Live-In Stays (24-hour care with breaks), with paid hours and a focus on privacy, reliability, and professional

• Must live in our service area: Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville, Abita Springs, or Lacombe, Louisiana
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Smart phone (unlimited data preferred)
• Availability to work weekends and holidays is required
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• Able to pass a background check
• Willingness to stay overnight in clients’ homes

Responsabilités

Description du poste

As an Overnight Pet Sitter with Fur de Lis Pet Care, LLC, you'll provide attentive, professional care for pets in the familiarity of their own homes while their owners are away. Our Overnight and Live-In services go beyond simply being present. They're about maintaining each pet's routine, providing companionship and reassurance, and ensuring their safety and needs are attended to throughout their owner's absence.

We care for healthy dogs, cats, and small pets, as well as pets with chronic health conditions or recovering from surgery. All care is delivered under veterinary trained oversight to uphold the highest standards of in-home pet care.

This position includes two types of assignments:

Overnight Stays (9 PM–7 AM): Spend the night in a client's home, providing evening and morning care, companionship, and attentive supervision throughout the night.

Live-In Stays (24-Hour Assignments): Provide extended, in-home care over one or more 24-hour periods, with two scheduled, 2-hour breaks during each 24-hour period. Each assignment includes 20 hours of paid care per day, allowing time for personal errands and responsibilities during breaks.

Job duties will include following each client's specific care instructions, providing feedings, administering medications when needed, taking dogs outside for bathroom breaks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and monitoring pets for any signs of illness, distress, or changes in behavior. You'll also provide companionship and attend to pets' needs throughout your scheduled stay, including overnight bathroom breaks or other necessary care.

This position requires a high level of responsibility, sound judgment, attention to detail, and respect for our clients' homes and privacy. You'll be working independently in clients' residences, where maintaining a professional presence, following established care protocols, and recognizing when a pet may need additional attention are essential.

Employees must remain at the client's home during their scheduled care hours, except during authorized breaks or as otherwise approved. Friends, family members, children, and personal pets are not permitted to accompany employees during any assignment. Client confidentiality, privacy, discretion, and home security are held to the same high standards as the care we provide to every pet.
