Job summary

Pet Care Plus in Chicago, IL is seeking an Overnight Pet Care & Cleaning Specialist to join our overnight team. The role supports caring for dogs and cats during the night, with shifts such as 7:00 PM–12:00 AM or 9:00 PM–6:15 AM, and a focus on cleanliness and safety.

This hands-on, independent overnight position requires reliability and a proactive approach to maintaining a calm, clean environment for all guests. Weekdays and weekends availability is required.

Qualifications

• One to three years of relevant work experience preferred
• Previous pet-care, cleaning, custodial, kennel, or overnight experience is a plus
• A valid driver’s license is required for employees assigned to the 9:00 PM–6:00 AM shift
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning and sanitizing playrooms, kennels, suites, and common areas
• Washing dishes, laundry, and pet bedding
• Restocking supplies and keeping work areas organized
• Performing routine overnight safety and wellness checks
• Monitoring boarding dogs and responding to their needs
• Following established cleaning, safety, and pet-care procedures
• Documenting concerns and communicating important information to the incoming team
• Helping create a calm, clean, and welcoming environment for every guest
