Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Kingsley, Iowa is hiring a Registered Nurse to care for a pediatric patient in the family\'s home. This position is for part-time overnight shifts with local travel as needed.

You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process, monitor patient status, administer medications, and coordinate with the prescriber and team to adjust plans of care. Valid RN license and BLS required; prior pediatric home care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate care plans and revise with prescriber guidance as needed.
• Provide therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Respond to patient condition changes and notify the physician or supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor effectiveness.
• Review care plans and identify education, coordination, and discharge needs.
